Whoooooo's there?

Well for one, this little owl friend of ours who was hanging in the front yard the other evening. Lee snapped  his picture :-)

Whoooooo else is here you ask?

You!!!

^^ See this nifty graph? My blog automatically track how many people/views my blog gets daily/weekly/monthly. As you can see there has been a steady increase of readers since I began (well, except for June when either I was really boring or all of you were on vacation :-) ....I'm now getting thousands of views every month. Hello, Mrs. Personality here :-)   Or should I say Miss PersonalitIES, because we know you're all here because of the girls--not me haha.

Ok, now that we've established  that me = cool, I would  like you to look  at the right hand side of my blog. See where it says "followers"? I  sadly only have 24 followers :-(  ...although the ones I have are super cool and I love you! :-) But that means I have at least 100s of people who read secretly and don't follow me. You're probably  thinking to yourself "why is Shawna so nosey?! Can't I just read in peace...why do I have to "follow" her?!"  Well here's the thing. If I really do have that many regular readers I would love to start offering you all more giveaways!!! (Other than my own Etsy stuff). Normally though store owners don't  like doing giveaways on blogs that don't have 100s of followers--it's an advertising t hing :-) So  if I  could  get more followers then I could take my blog to the next level of awesomeness! Follow me so far?

So stroke my ego, make me feel  special, follow me!!!!!!!!!! You don't even have to use your real name--use a code name for all I care. I am not going to hunt you down, I just want more followers haha. If you don't have an account to follow me with you can create one in about one second....and never use it again for all I care. See a theme here? I just want followers! :-) And you have  to follow me publicly....none of the private following stuff, b/c then you don't show up as an official follower.

Ready, set, FOLLOW!

As added incentive I will surely be doing another giveaway from my own Etsy shop before long, and  I promise to provide a super  cool bonus if you are a follower BEFORE my next giveaway.

(and on another note, I appologize if you follow me or comment on my blog and I can't return the favor on yours. For some reason I am unable to comment on blogs unless they have the "annoymous" option, which many don't. Don't ask me why I'm having issues with that....I have no idea, but it's driving me crazy. LOL)

And to end, here is a blog that *I* have recently discovered and am completely in love  with: http://crappypictures.typepad.com/crappy-pictures/     Seriously, the first entry about the yogurt--she lives my life haha.  But  I could totally related to pretty much every single entry she's written...you totally have to check  it out!

Oh, and I can't  forget to pimp my Etsy shop haha....here  is the completed pig  outfit: http://www.etsy.com/listing/78770075/pink-pig-themed-birthday-outfit-for

And then this was a custom order from a repeat customer...I  thought it turned out very cute so I listed it in my store! http://www.etsy.com/listing/78827382/personalized-football-shirt-or-onesie

Later everyone! And what do you pinky  swear to do for me? FOLLOW ME!! :-)   Thanks.

Saturday mornings...

...are something special. As a stay-at-home mom every morning is  pretty relaxing compared to trying to get out the door on time for work, etc. But that doesn't mean that I can't recognize the joy that  is Saturday morning. There is just  something special about a relaxing Saturday morning spent in pjs, watching Barney, playing with toys, and being a family. Sisters.

How cute  is Brielle's little hand on Raya?!

The girls are doing a little better, but  still have those darn colds! I figured I'd be a pretty crazy mom if  I dressed a sick baby up in something cute and did a photoshoot for you all, so I'm sorry---but that's all I have for you today!!

....oh wait, what's this? Just a minute....I *do* have a couple more pictures here....

Crazy mom here :-)    Hey, but in my defense my little sickling did seem to be  enjoying herself!! My pretty girl doesn't let a little cold stop her for rocking a photoshoot. Let's hop that when I finally  get her pictures rescheduled that we get some big smiles like this too!!

Can't wait until it's cold weather and hat season again!

In mourning.

Please, let's all have a moment of silence as we mourn the death of picture day.

(silence)

I  woke up this  morning and saw Brielle's picture outfits ironed and ready to go. I saw the sun shining. I happily skipped off to my coffee pot to enjoy a few moments before getting everyone ready and heading to the photoshoot.

And then Brielle woke up.

And I saw THIS:

Ok, perhaps I'm not making myself clear...I saw THIS:

She came down with Raya's cold ON PICTURE DAY!! I mean, seriously! I spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out if I could still do pictures. Ya know, bring a box of kleenex, maybe photshop out the red eyes and snot, pray that she wasn't grumpy...but in the end I decided we just couldn't do it. And so sadly I had to reschedule :-(

I haven't heard back yet, but  hoping we get rescheduled in the next week or two since these are her 6 month photos and she's already almost 7 months. Gosh darn it...you can't  plan anything with kids I swear!

Needless to say I've had my fair share of poop and snot over the past few days. Let's all hope that  the little snot nosed brats don't get *me* sick !! :-)

In other  news, thankfully Raya seems to be on the mend slightly today. Her nose isn't nearly as runny, although she still won't eat worth a darn.

Ok readers, I need some help. See Raya's jeans^^^^ ?? Well, she has always been hard to fit for jeans, but Children's Place jeans have been my go to pants in the past. She had outgrown the 24 month ones and their next size up is 3T so I found a great deal on ebay for 4 pairs of size 3T children's place jeans in a variety of styles. Let's just say that none of them work! They all fit her  waist fine, but then are super tight over her ghetto booty and big thighs, and then a good 2-3 inches too long! Unless she has a serious growth spurt and slim down soon I think this fall and winter she'll need a 4T butt/thigh, 3T waist, and 24 month length haha.

So, short of wearing leggings and dresses every day, does anyone have any suggestions for pants that might work? Know  of a brand that caters to the short and stocky toddler crowd? Please share your wisdom if you do!!!!

Because this whole pant thing is starting to get ridiculous and could seriously hinder her famous baby model career plan :-P

It got to the point that I don't think she was even able to stay upright in them...and she kind of waddled around haha

So clearly I have one of my baby models who can't fit into clothes, and the other who can't keep her snot off them! :-P

Lastly, I'm so happy to report that  my Etsy shop is doing great! Yesterday I made over $70! I told Lee if I could keep up that pace we'd be all set haha.

Anyways, one of the orders I was excited to get was someone who wanted a custom pig birthday outfit...she wanted a shirt and skirt in pinks and possibly pink gingham fabric. So I put together an idea and she liked my plan and decided to buy from me. So then I really had to deliver, or risk ruining a one year old's birthday! haha. Well I made the shirt last night and I think it turned out so cute!!!

I still have to finish up the skirt, which is pink gingham with a hot pink trim at the bottom. So cute!

Then yesterday I got a fun custom order as well. A mom wants a halloween costume for her toddler--the white "angry bird." Now I've never played angry birds, but I think it's some game on your phone??? She sent me a picture of the white angry bird and it looked easy enough to do so I'm putting that on a onesie and then making a white tutu to go with. Should be fun! :-) I'll have to share pics when I get that one done.

Happy Friday...not! (or should I say "snot" :-)

She's got the look

This morning I had Brielle test run her outfits for her 6 month pictures tomorrow. I hope she's in a good mood tomorrow so we can get some cute pictures!

My camera was  being stupid today so please excuse the poor  lighting in these pictures.

Here is Brielle  in her elephant outfit. As I said in my previous entry I had found this hat on super clearance and thought it would make for some fun pictures. However I thought I had legwarmers that matched it and when I got home I discovered those were the wrong color pink and clashed. I of course couldn't find anything in Brielle's closet to wear with the stinkin' hat for pictures! LOL...so last night I whipped up a polkadot onesie for her  to wear...I think it turned  out cute :-) Brielle however wasn't feeling these pictures....only  got a couple smiles  at the very end. Hopefully this photographs better tomorrow b/c I think it'd be really cute if Brielle cooperated!

Check out my Etsy listing for this  onesie here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/78675786/custom-polkadot-onesie-or-shirt-to-match   I will match it to anything you want!!! Use the coupon code "BLOGLOVER" to get 20% off anything in my shop! :-)
Then this is the camo skirt I mentioned awhile back too. I can't decide if I should have pictures with or without the brown onesie....what do you all think? I took pics both ways today and I thought it looked nice with the brown, but I also liked the baby chub without the onesie. I need someone else to make the decision for me so please weigh in :-P

....and clearly we may have trouble tomorrow getting any pictures in this anyways, b/c she wants to eat the skirt!!

I made a little  hair clippie to match this last night. Not quite sure  how I feel about it either haha. Opinions? I attached it to this cream headband but I could maybe find a different headband to hook it to. I just wasn't sure what to do and came up with this lol

...and now some without the onesie

And this headband we're wearing with that summery romper I had posted awhile back.

I was hoping to do the summery romper and the camo outfit outside but I'm not sure the weather will cooperate so we might have to do everything inside her studio...we'll see!

Thankfully Raya  doesn't have pictures tomorrow. She's a grump and snot nosed :-P

Wish us luck tomorrow!!!

Today has been a long day.

....and LONG day stands for:

L -- Lots of potty accidents. Miss Raya just gets so confused when we spend weekends away from home, and I can't say I blame her. We tell  her to pee and poop in her pullup when it's inconvienent to take her potty, but then at home she struggles because she gets so used  to going  in her pull up. And she has to wear a pullup at my mom's, rather than panties, so I think that confuses her  too and she gets lazy.

O -- One sick  little girl. Raya acted especially tired yesterday and today woke up with a snotty nose, etc. I think she's getting a cold. That means lots of snot, all caked in her hair and smeared all over me and everything else. Yuck.

N -- No coffee this morning, followed by a horrible caffiene withdrawal headache! I  was busy and didn't get my coffee made this morning, and thought a  diet coke would serve the same purpose. I was wrong. Horrible  pounding headache all morning and ended up having to nap with the girls this afternoon and take a bunch of tylenol to get rid of it.

G -- Guy said our house smelled like dog! The realtor said that one of the people who looked at the house this weekend reported that he thought the house smelled like dog. I  think it probably did smell kinda musty, because we were out of town so the house was all shut up for like 5 days and normally before a showing I get everything freshened up. Oh well. On the other hand, the lady who ran our open house on Sunday called our realtor to tell him she thought our house showed beautifully and she was impressed with our staging and cleanliness haha. Obviously her  and sensitive smell man have differences of opinion :-P

Thankfully tomorrow is another day--it can only  get better! haha

And despite the headaches of the day, I was still happy to be  home with the girls.

My mom likes to give me a hard time about dressing the girls. Even though she's the same one who says "Shawna, they don't need anymore clothes!!" she also throws a fit when Brielle wears hand-me-downs or clothes with any fading haha. I  usually buy Raya all the new stuff and figure Brielle will have it filter down, and then every once in awhile I buy Brielle something new. Well today Grandma called to say she bought Brielle something new LOL...so needless  to say I  have a feeling that Grandma will be horrified by these pictures from this morning where Raya is dressed up and Brielle is in a boring old onesie :-P

You know your daughter  is  getting older when you start to wish you could borrow her  clothes haha

This little tank is a size 4 in big girl sizes (not 4T) and it's one of the ones I had gotten for like $3 on sale at the outlet mall. However, while everything I bought looks huge right now for the most part, this tank seems to run small (which is why I got a big girl size!)...but she STILL can wear it now! haha. I think it'll still  fit fine next  year too though b/c it's nice and long ...but  paired with her denim leggings today so was rocking the look, don't you think? :-)

Notice Brielle looking on pitifully in the background while I photograph big sister haha.
Grandma is going to kill me for this one!

The snot  just kept coming and coming today....ewww

While Raya napped I tried to make it up to Brielle by giving her a photoshoot of her very own :-)

"Mama, you're crazy if you think  these pictures will satisfy Grandma...I mean, you didn't even give me a hair pretty!!!"

Am I the only one who thinks, looking at these pictures, that Brielle has really been changing in looks lately?! She seems to be getting so "fair"...I wonder if she'll turn blonde?!

Sometimes I just sit and watch Brielle play with her toys. It's so funny to look at things through the eyes of a 6 month old. She is just fascinated with EVERYTHING!

After Raya's nap her hair was matted with snot so I just gathered it up and put it in a ponytail until bath time--add a big bow and she's good as new! ;-) Of course we needed new pants too, with all the peeing and all.

That's about all I have for tonight. Need to go make a couple things for Brielle's pictures on Friday and then hopefully get a couple Etsy orders done before the weekend. Busy, busy! Happy Wednesday everyone :-)
