you can all start sending baby vibes my way again....before I lose my mind! Even though I'm 99% sure this baby will need to be kicked out on Tuesday I'm holding on to a sliver of hope that she'll come on her own before then. The days are passing sooooooo slowly no matter what I do and the whole sleep situation is ridiculous! Last night I had to surf the web from approx. 1:30am until after 4am b/c I absolutely couldn't sleep at all. My legs were restless and every time I'd almost fall asleep I'd have to pee again, which would wake me (and the baby!) up and the whole horrific process would start over again.
I'm 39 weeks tomorrow. Why can't one of my children just choose to come a little early on their own?!
Ending my rant now :-P
And sorry, no pics. Although I plan to take some pics of Raya and Grandma H. before she leaves tomorrow. We're going out to dinner tonight since it's her last night here I think....then I believe Grandma F. is coming Sunday. (Hear that Brielle? You could come on Saturday during the window of time with no grandma present! That would I'm sure satisfy your need to be difficult, and still grant my wish of going early haha. Do it! :-) Raya can sit on my lap while I push....at this point I no longer care lol)

P.S.
Lee and Raya are coloring right now, so I thought I'd add a picture P.S. to my post from earlier today :-)
Raya is all about coloring nowadays. Although Lee is less than impressed with her artistic skills at this point :-P
Miss Raya has really dry cheeks right now, which is why they look red. I've been putting lotion on them.
Lastly, since I mentioned packing my hospital bag in the last post I thought I'd share a little of what I have packed haha. Here is my bag in all it's glory, ready to go at any moment! :-)
I've obviously go all the toiletries etc. and I threw in some dvds that I've seen 100 times, since I obviously don't want a movie I have to pay close attention to when I'm in labor :-P With Raya I chose to wear the hospital gowns pretty much the whole time b/c frankly, I thought they were super comfy! :-) But i did throw in some pj pants and tshirts in case this time I decide to wear my own clothes more. I also have my boppy pillow in there and then some things for Miss Brielle!
Here is Brielle's coming home outfit :-)
Then I"m not sure if these will be way too big or not, but just in case I threw them in the bag...
And I bought her this cute blanket since she's a winter baby :-)
And a few hats :-)
Look at all that girlie goodness!!!! Let's hope that she comes out a girl for real !! :-)
Ok, better go....my husband just took Raya for a cozy coupe car ride on the deck in the freezing cold in nothing but her pjs....not his brightest moment let's say :-P

LAST doctor's appointment...yippee!!!
Can you believe that this morning I had my very LAST doctor's appointment before Brielle is born?! I swear it feels like a couple months ago that I had a 2 page list of appts. laid out in front of me, and now every single one has been "checked" off the list! :-)
The appointment went well. I forgot to ask exactly how much I gained, but based on what I remember weighing pre-pregnancy I think I"m now maybe 20-22 lbs above that, so that's really good. Should be easy to lose. My stomach was measuring 39-40 weeks today, so the doctor said she should definitely be big enough and ready to come out on Tuesday which is great. I'm putting in my guesstimate for her weight now....I"m guessing she'll be 8lbs 1oz. ....what are your guesses everyone???? Raya was 8lbs 12oz but I don't think Brielle will be quite as big coming a week earlier....but at the same time I really don't think I'm capable of producing a 7lb baby lol.
As far as progress since last week, well, there hasn't been any :-P I'm still just 1cm and "soft". The doctor said if that's still what I am on Tuesday then they will probably start the induction with a cervical ripening agent of some kind to get my cervix more "favorable" for induction, which means Lee will probably be really annoyed b/c it'll take awhile haha. Oh well! We're supposed to go to labor and delivery at 6am Tuesday and she said if they give me a pill to ripen the cervix or whatever then they'd probably leave that in until afternoon, before they even start the induction drugs and such. Guess we better bring some dvds and card games to pass the time!!! :-P BUT, she also said that since this is my 2nd baby it's not uncommon for it to go a little faster, or at least once they start the drugs in afternoon or so I could then progress quickly like I did with Raya...we'll just have to see. There's always an increased chance of csection when you induce, so hopefully it doesn't come to that. Being a 2nd time mom they said the chance of that is lower so let's all hope that's right!
I can't believe that no later than Tuesday morning I'll be in labor and delivery....I'm so excited!!!!!! I've packed Brielle's little hats and outfits in my suitcase about 5 times now b/c I'm so excited to play dress up once she's here! :-) I even packed a couple little hair clippies, in case she comes out with enough hair hehe.
Now to find some way to pass the time until Tuesday...

Just for laughs...
I stumbled across this online and thought I'd share hahaha. Bring on baby #2! :-P (I'm pretty much stuck on Lessons 11 and 12 all day every day with Miss Raya right now!!!)
If you're thinking of having kids, try this program first to see if you are ready!
Lesson 1
1. Go to the grocery store.
2. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office.
3. Go home.
4. Pick up the paper.
5. Read it for the last time.
Lesson 2
Before you finally go ahead and have children, find a couple who already are parents and berate them about their…
1. Methods of discipline.
2. Lack of patience.
3. Appallingly low tolerance levels.
4. Allowing their children to run wild.
5. Suggest ways in which they might improve their child’s breastfeeding, sleep habits, toilet training, table manners, and overall behavior.
Enjoy it because it will be the last time in your life you will have all the answers.
Lesson 3
A really good way to discover how the nights might feel…
1. Get home from work and immediately begin walking around the living room from 5PM to 10PM carrying a wet bag weighing approximately 8-12pounds, with a radio turned to static (or some other obnoxious sound) playing loudly. (Eat cold food with one hand for dinner)
2. At 10PM, put the bag gently down, set the alarm for midnight, and go to sleep.
3. Get up at 12 and walk around the living room again, with the bag, until 1AM.
4. Set the alarm for 3AM.
5. As you can’t get back to sleep, get up at 2AM and make a drink and watch an infomercial.
6. Go to bed at 2:45AM.
7. Get up at 3AM when the alarm goes off.
8. Sing songs quietly in the dark until 4AM.
9. Get up. Make breakfast. Get ready for work and go to work (work hard and be productive)
Repeat steps 1-9 each night. Keep this up for 3-5 years. Look cheerful and together.
Lesson 4
Can you stand the mess children make? To find out..
1. Smear peanut butter onto the sofa and jam onto the curtains.
2. Hide a piece of raw chicken behind the stereo and leave it there all summer.
3. Stick your fingers in the flower bed.
4. Then rub them on the clean walls.
5. Take your favorite book, photo album, etc. Wreck it.
6. Spill milk on your new pillows. Cover the stains with crayons.
How does that look?
Lesson 5
Dressing small children is not as easy as it seems.
1. Buy an octopus and a small bag made out of loose mesh.
2. Attempt to put the octopus into the bag so that none of the arms hang out.
Time allowed for this - all morning.
Lesson 6
Forget the BMW and buy a mini-van. And don’t think that you can leave it out in the driveway spotless and shining. Family cars don’t look like that.
1. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove compartment. Leave it there.
2. Get a dime. Stick it in the CD player.
3. Take a family size package of chocolate cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Sprinkle cheerios all over the floor, then smash them with your foot.
4. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car.
Lesson 7
1. Get ready to go out.
2. Sit on the floor of your bathroom reading picture books for half an hour.
3. Go out the front door.
4. Come in again.Go out.
5. Come back in.
6. Go out again.
7. Walk down the front path.
8. Walk back up it.
9. Walk down it again.
10.Walk very slowly down the sidewalk for five minutes.
11. Stop, inspect minutely, and ask at least 6 questions about every cigarette butt, piece of used chewing gum, dirty tissue, and dead insect along the way.
12. Retrace your steps.
13. Scream that you have had as much as you can stand until the neighbors come out and stare at you.
14. Give up and go back into the house.
You are now just about ready to try taking a small child for a walk.
Lesson 8
Go to the local grocery store. Take with you the closest thing you can find to a pre-school child. (A full-grown goat is also excellent). If you intend to have more than one child, then definitely take more than one goat. Buy your week’s groceries without letting the goats out of your sight. Pay for everything the goat eats or destroys.
Until you can easily accomplish this, do not even contemplate having children.
Lesson 9
Learn the names of every character from Sesame Street , Barney, Disney, the Teletubbies, and Pokemon. Watch nothing else on TV but PBS, the Disney channel or Noggin for at least five years. (I know, you’re thinking What’s “Noggin”?) Exactly the point.
Lesson 10
Move to the tropics. Find or make a compost pile. Dig down about halfway and stick your nose in it.
Do this 3-5 times a day for at least two years.
Lesson 11
Make a recording of Fran Drescher saying “mommy” repeatedly. (Important: no more than a four second delay between each “mommy”; occasional crescendo to the level of a supersonic jet is required). Play this tape in your car everywhere you go for the next four years.
You are now ready to take a long trip with a toddler.
Lesson 12
Start talking to an adult of your choice. Have someone else continually tug on your skirt hem, shirt- sleeve, or elbow while playing the “mommy” tape made from Lesson 14 above.
You are now ready to have a conversation with an adult while there is a child in the room.

Grandma H.
Today was our first full day with Grandma H. staying, and Lee had his first day of work at his new job! The day went well overall. Raya warmed up to Grandma H. quickly and was pretty good about playing with her so that I could get things done. I was able to get all caught up on Raya's laundry as well as spend the entire afternoon finally organizing our filing cabinet and shredding a bunch of stuff etc. Good deal! On the schedule for tomorrow is for me to run a couple errands in the morning and then deep clean our master bathroom. Fun stuff right?! :-)
Lee said his first day of work went well. He's still getting things set up and doing schedules and passwords etc. so not a lot of actual "work" took place today, but he seems to like it so far. His drive there this morning only took a little over an hour he said, but the drive home was like 1hr 20+ minutes b/c of traffic that time of day. So hopefully if I don't make it to my induction date then Lee will be able to drive home and get to the hospital in about 1.5 hours which isn't too bad.
That said, tomorrow is my SIL Megan's birthday (happy birthday Megan!) and so I tried explaining to Brielle that maybe she could come tomorrow and share the day with her aunt, but I have a feeling that diva #2 would not be a fan of sharing the spotlight with ANYONE, so I think tomorrow will probably be a quiet day lol. Like I had said before I"m fine waiting until next week for her to arrive, but I AM getting very very uncomfortable. Last night I was soooooo miserable and barely slept at all b/c of "restless leg syndrome"....i tend to get that a lot lately but it usually doesn't keep me up at night. But last night it was horrible and I tried sleeping in a chair and various other positions and nothing worked! I'm hoping that tonight is a little less miserable!!!!!!
No pictures tonight...sorry! I'm sure I'll be making up for the lack of pictures recently when baby Brielle arrives....then it'll be picture overload!!!!! :-)

"Work it" girls!! (and boy) :-)
Quick update while we wait for Lee's mom to arrive.
Just had to show off my little diva "workin' it" for the camera this morning haha. Lee brought up all his bar beads and Raya insisted on putting every single one on, and then she bounced around the house listening to them all jingle :-)
Daddy, what does "budweiser" mean?
The most fun ever!
And then Griffin wanted to make it clear that Raya isn't the only one in the family who can "work it" for the camera....check out his studly new look!
But then I stepped in to settle the debate once and for all. B/c honestly, as cute as Raya and Griffin are, the person who's "workin' it" the best in this family right now is pregnant Mama....super Mama as you can all call me :-) A 27lb kid on one hip, a God only knows how big baby in the belly, and I'm still smiling :-)
Brielle....come out, come out, wherever you are! :-P

Just a quick pictureless update :-P
No pictures to share today, but thought being "gone" from the blog for 2 days might have people wondering if baby came haha.
Lee and I had decided that yesterday was pretty much the last day we'd want Brielle to arrive before it became very inconvienent for his new job, at which point holding off until next week would be better. If we would have had her yesterday some time we could have been out of the hospital just in time for him to start work on Tuesday. Soooooo, he watched Raya yesterday while I went to the mall and did a lot of walking haha. Walking is what jumpstarted my contractions with Raya so I figured it was worth a shot. However the only thing a day of walking did for me yesterday was give me a sore back!!! Not a single contraction lol. I told Lee she's obviously a girl b/c she needs plenty of time to "primp" in there for her big debut....she is bound and determined to hold out on us haha.
So now today I've just been taking it easy, doing a little laundry, etc. Lee is freaked out about missing his orientation day of work on Tuesday and he will be extremely upset if for some reason he can't go to work on Tuesday, so now I feel the need to sit here until at least Wednesday with my legs crossed hahaha.
Lee's mom is supposed to arrive tomorrow afternoon some time I think, so we're officially entering the "Shawna will never be left alone" stage of this pregnancy haha. Honestly it's a little overwhelming to think about having a house guest right now b/c I'm not one that really enjoys that :-P ....but I am happy to know that if Brielle shows up this week then I won't have to take Raya with me to the hospital!! Hopefully the week goes by quickly, but as anyone who's ever had a baby knows the last couple weeks of your pregnancy are the slowest you will ever experience in your whole entire life. I absolutely cannot wait until the big day arrives!!!!!!!!!!!
So that's about all I have to report for now. Hopefully the next few days are quiet and contraction-less for Lee's sake :-)
***ok, I lied. Let's just have one picture of baby Raya at the hospital on her first day of life. Look at all that newborn cuddly goodness! :-)
