Ok, so the Toys R Us by our old house didn't have kid's clothes at all. It must have been a small store or something. Well the one by our new house apparently *does* have clothes because I went there today looking for a bath seat (they didn't have one) and a guard rail for Raya's twin bed (they did have one) and of course I got sidetracked while there by all the kids clothes. I had no idea Toys R Us had such cute clothes! I mean, the boy section was the usual button down shirt, polo shirt, or humorous message tee (seriously clothing makers, I feel bad for the boy moms--try spicing things up a little!) but the girl section, my oh my, adorable stuff--and crazy looking, so right up my alley! hehe. We had ruffle pants, faux fur, bright obnoxious patterns, weird legging/shirt combos, etc....I was in heaven. And the best part? Most of it was buy 1 get 1 FREE!
So I may have gotten Brielle her first faux fur sweater vest ;-)
She is so going to rock this for the holidays :-)
And don't worry, Raya wasn't left out. She got her very own matching fur sweater vest! ...plus an adorable brown fur vest and a super cute sweater (the sweater looks navy in the picture for some reason, but it's actually a pretty aqua color with big silver jeweled snaps hehe). She's napping or else I'd have her model, but let me tell you, that girl was to die for cute in the brown fur vest in the store today. It matched her brown sweater boots lol. I thought about getting Brielle a matching one but she was too little to pull it off....it sort of looked like she was being eaten by a bear or something LOL
I paid $8 for the white vest and only $7 for the others...unbelievable!
Here are a few more of Brielle modeling hers, since she's awake right now...
....over pictures by this point I think :-P
On another note, have I mentioned yet that this child pulls up (to her knees) on EVERYTHING right now?!
Lastly in our fashion update, I whipped up some Halloween tshirts for the girls the other night. I"m not going to sell Halloween shirts this year since I'm too busy with the move and everything, but I had a couple orange tshirts so I came up with this for the girls:
I wish I could have made Raya a spider one too, b/c it's so stinkin' cute, but she's terrified of bugs and spiders and I didn't think she'd wear it. I was right too because when I showed the shirts to her this morning she saw Brielle's shirts and said "yuck! Bug-ant!" and shivered lol. She liked her pumpkin face though.
The back of the shirts have their names, just to make them more special :-) I need to get some orange fabric to put inside the letters (like for the B and e ....I thought I had fabric on hand but I can't find it).
Brielle wasn't into modeling just now, but here is her shirt (I still need to make her a matching hair clippie)
...and at least I'll always remember her name as she crawls away from my pictures now :-P
To end, here are some funny things Raya has said recently. She's been talking so much more lately (she was never quiet, but she is just talking in sentences and so clearly, and she says funny things now that I don't expect to come out of her mouth lol...she makes me laugh all the time)
First, I promised Raya an icecream cone today as our special activity so all morning she's been saying "Mama, I get icecream cone and I lick it!" and then she makes licking noises and says "Brielle will watch me"....then today she came into the living room and said "it's too dark" and then she turned on the light and said "there we go!" ....and this morning I found her in the hallway unrolling a roll of toilet paper and she looked at me and said "I pooped...I squeezed it out and now I wipe!" and she was wiping the outside of her pullup haha. Lastly, today at the mall she was playing on those rides you put quarters in...well she just always plays on them without any money and doesn't know they are supposed to move. TOday I happened to have $1 in my pocket so I thought I'd be nice and "treat" her to a ride. I let her pick the ride and she picked the rocket ship and got all excited and jumped right in. I put the money in and AS SOON as it started to move she starts screaming and clawing her way out of the thing....as I'm trying to convince her to stay in it. Finally I give up and she is out and standing next to it (while it's still moving, thanks to my 75 cents) and as it's moving she's shaking her finger at it saying "no no! Stop moving!" haha. Guess I won't be doing that again! :-)

Mama's Girls
Even though they don't cooperate for pictures worth a crap anymore, they are still mama's girls :-)
This was us all dressed up for the wedding reception last night. If it looks like Raya was crying it's because she was LOL. She was in rare form last night, being complete naughty. She wouldn't take even one stinkin' picture, even with me bribing her with candy haha, so then my mom tried reverse psychology and said something like "no Raya, you sit over there, I don't want you in the picture with Mama...only Brielle" ...well that PISSED Raya off and of course she wanted in the picture, so here she was sitting on my lap with tears in her eyes, "tattling" to me about Grandma saying something like "Grandma told me no, go sit!" hehe. Little stinker.
To my surprise Brielle still easily fit into this size 6 month dress I bought her in the spring. My petite little girl! I was glad they got to rock the matching dresses one more time :-)
For over a year Raya has pretty much only eaten baby food fruits and veggies. Well within the last month or two she's really started eating many more things and she now LOVES apples, as well as strawberries. Well we always cut her apples up--sliced really thin. The other day at lunch I look over at Raya to see that she had stolen an apple from the fruit bowl and just started eating away! She had bit through the core in some places and even eaten half of the sticker on the outside LOL. Guess the girl had an inkling for some apple!
Notice Raya's hand...awww

No amount of bribery could get Raya to take pictures yesterday....she was seriously driving me crazy.
So I took some pictures of Brielle instead, who was only slightly better behaved :-P
See her bottom two teeth????
Trying to escape the chair. Photoshoot over before it even began haha
Yeah Raya, you're all giving ME a headache!
In completely unrealted news, you know that haircut I mentioned getting? Well I'm going insane because I swear my hair has suddenly changed in the last year or so. I've ALWAYS had thin/fine straight hair. I mean, the slightest drop of a hair gel or hairspray would weigh down my hair and leave it greasy for days haha. Well in the last year I have noticed my hair getting somewhat wavy, very thick, and FRIZZY! I had thought maybe a haircut would help but nope, my hair is just out of it's mind. Even my mom agrees it looks completely different in my "old age." So today in an effort to tame it I put tons of this hair defrizz stuff on and flat ironed the shit out of it....and it's *still* so poofy! At least all the defrizzer made it pretty shiny LOL
To those who know me in real life, is it not weird that my hair is still that "thick" even after all the stuff I did to it?! Not sure how I feel about it haha...I guess there are worse things though! Must try to get used to the poof :-)
If you have magical hair tips/tricks for frizzy poofy hair then by all mean, please share!
And lastly, an apple a day ....
Well, better be getting to bed here soon....watching Sawyer and Harper tomorrow so I'm going to need my rest!

Raya versus Brielle
We've got a wedding reception to go to tonight so I'm going to keep this short and sweet!
Remember Brielle wearing this outfit the other day?
Here is when RAYA wore the same outfit:
Other than their eye color I really do think they look so much alike!! ...well, and the fact that Raya is about 5 months in this picture, compared to Brielle who's almost 9 months haha. Raya was a big girl :-)
Here is a picture of me and Miss Raya:
And lastly, let's get in the October spirit with a little pumpkin action, shall we?
These pictures were all from about 2 years ago, from when I had my previous blog. If you're a newer reader of mine you should check out my old blog and browse around to see cutie patootie Raya as a baby :-) Here is a link to the entry these pictures are from: http://rayamarie.livejournal.com/26284.html
See, I said short and sweet today! ;-)

She's got the look
Most days Raya drives me INSANE when it's picture time. However, every once in awhile I get her to coorperate....and on those days I find myself looking at her pictures thinking to myself "how did I birth such a beautiful little girl?!" ...because there's no denying, she's got the look! :-)
I love how she goes around and picks up pictures of Sawyer and kisses them. She does this at our house too. One time she even wanted to bring Sawyer's picture outside to "play" LOL
Not to forget my other pretty girl...
...and the rice pool is still a huge hit! Raya played in it for almost 2 hours this morning
...and Miss Brielle, well my friends, she is starting to pull up on things...yikes! I kid you not that Raya never pulled up to standing EVER until about 13 months old...then a couple weeks later she was walking. She just never had any desire to pull up on things. SHe'd pull up to her knees, but never her feet. Well Brielle is already pulling up to her knees and even a couple times to her feet!!!! She still doesn't quite have the upper body strength to stand completely straight up, but I fear it won't be too much longer. Guess we better put babyproofing on top of the to-do list at the new house!
Raya, crack kills.
Although we are anxious to get into our new house (by the way, we are officially closing THursday the 6th at 10am!!) it's nice being at my parents considering they have such a nice setup in their garage. The garage is heated and yesterday my mom set up a train table, climber, rice pool, etc. and my dad also has a huge tv out there too haha. SO this morning Raya played in the rice, Brielle crawled around playing on the floor, and I kicked back in a chair playing on the computer. Not too shabby :-)
Lastly, I"m having fun mentally decorating the girls' new room as we get closer to the move date! Yesterday I picked up paint chips and I think I've decided on a pretty grayish blue color for the girls' room...and instead of painting a mural or tree etc. on the wall I think I"m going to have Lee make me some headboards kinda like this:
So it'll be a blue wall and then I want to whitewash wood panels and have Lee paint a branch (maybe in green to match the bedding?) with a little birdie.
I want to make them rosette lampshades like this:
And then I plan to make a birdhouse mobile to hang in the corner of the room, like this:
And lastly, I ordered some art for the girls' room off of Etsy. This seller has been so friendly and helpful. I ordered this birdie print (which I think will go with the girls' bedding really well) and she's adding the quote "always my sister, forever my friend" on it. And then she had a cute owl print that she's going to remake to match the colors of the birdie one and add "rayana" and then she's makeing a matching sock monkey print to mimic the owl one and it's going to say "brielle". I'm so excited! I want to hang the birdie one in the middle and the owl and sock monkey on either side. Her prices are very reasonable too and she gave me a discount for being a fellow Etsy seller :-) ...and Lee, I spent my own Etsy profit money, so no need to freak about me spending "your money" on decor that you couldn't care less about LOL. :-P
And one more...I found this neat idea on Pinterest (by the way, check me out on Pinterest if you haven't already! A link is on the right hand side of my blog :-) ....in the basement of our new house there is a section of wall right outside the playroom which I think would be the perfect place to hang something like this--I would spraypaint the clipboards fun colors and the girls could display the wonderful art projects we work on weekly!
So there is my Friday brain dump for you all :-) Have a great weekend!
