My parents watched the girls from Friday until Sunday around lunch, so that Lee and I could have a staycation! Here's what we did:
1) Had breakfast at the Farmers Market
2) Walked around the GIANT Farmers market ...Lee bought me a glass pendant necklace from one of the stands
3) Went shopping--I actually got to buy *myself* some fall/winter clothes and a new pair of shoes :-)
4) Ate lunch at a sport's bar and grill
5) Went home to relax for the afternoon
6) Realized we are really *old* b/c Lee's feet hurt from walking and my back was killing me! (I continue to have lots of back problems, which confuses me because up until about 3-4 months ago I'd never had a back problem in my life :-/
7) After nursing our injuries we went to the movies to see "We're the Millers" ....very very funny! Ate a dinner of popcorn and pop.
8) Skipped going out for drinks b/c my back needed serious babying at home :-(
9) Woke up in the morning feeling a little better so we went out to my favorite brunch place (And had bloody Mary's to make up for the lack of drinking the night before!)
10) Picked up the girls....we missed their cuteness, but not their early morning wake ups and constant need for care :-P
And now today we have preschool, a doctor's appt. for myself, and Raya's soccer practice/pictures. Busy Busy! Well staycation, you were fun while you lasted!! :-)

Go Zebras!
Raya had her first soccer game last night. We just barely squeezed it in before a big thunderstorm! I was glad they didn't cancel because she was super excited! Her team color is black and white, and they are called the zebras hehe.
Raya enjoyed the game and is excited to play again. However we could all tell she was pretty overwhelmed by all the people there. A few times she sort of spaced off and looked really sad/confused....but after the game she said she wasn't sad at all so I think she just got distracted!
She is a slow runner like her Mama lol. She tended to do a slow jog after the soccer ball lol. She also seemed confused about why her preschool friends were "fighting" eachother for the ball...I could tell her wheels were turning thinking "we are supposed to share!" ;-) She was not one to get fight for the ball at all. When she stumbled across the ball in the open, with no other kids around, then she would kick it! She did try to kick a couple times with other kids around so hopefully as she gets more practice she'll catch on more.
After the game she told me "I will run fast when I'm big like the other kids" ....I said "Raya, they are the same age as you!" .....so then she said, "Well, I like playing with only Zebras more better, not dragons (the other team). Zebras are slow animals." :-P
So here are some pics of the first game! (Please excuse the blacked out shirts...Lee insisted )

Make-up Artists
Did ya'll notice my new blog header? Last night Brielle and Raya played with their make-up kit and let me tell ya, they looked BEAUTIFUL haha. (Daddy was a little annoyed though when he went to give them a bath and that stuff was stuck on good! ;-)
In other news, on Tuesday Sawyer got to come over after Kindergarten. I LOVE that the girls are growing up so close with their cousins. I had a lot of cousins growing up, but they all lived about an hour away and honestly I pretty much only saw them at the standard holiday get togethers....so we were friendly, but not really friends....if that makes sense. I am thankful that not only do my girls have *eachother* to grow up with, close in age and bffs, but they also have Sawyer and Harper who they get to see at least twice a week and sometimes more. What awesome memories and friendships. I hope they all stay close while growing up---even Mr. Sawyer with all the ladies ;-)
And to end today, some "what they've been wearing" pictures :-)
Happy Thursday everyone! Fingers crossed that Raya's first soccer game doesn't get rained out tonight like they are predicting...she is SO EXCITED.

| This is an older Gap set, from the super popular fall Boho line. LOVE. Please excuse her insistence to wear the (Walmart) rainboots! |

| Raya's theme at school this week was apples....good this we had the perfect Gap dress laying around! :-) I intend to get a red long sleeve shirt for this, just haven't yet. |

Flash Forward Fun
I'm linking up today with some other bloggers to make guesses about what our kiddos will be like when they are grown ---this should be entertaining to look back on (and probably laugh at) when they are adults ;-)
Dear Raya and Brielle,
You are probably going to be reading this letter and laughing at how wrong I was, but I'm going to give this a shot anyways. I sometimes feel bad making predictions about who/what/how you'll be in the future because I don't want you to fall into self-fulfilling prophecies, where just because I say you are reserved and non sporty then you never try anything, or just because I say you are the wild child you become one :-P But at the same time you are both so clearly, distinctly *YOU* ....with personalities that are no doubt you own, and seem to be sticking around.
School
Raya, I predict that you will continue to be a goodie goodie, just like your Mama! Just yesterday at preschool you brought home a special award from school, and a note from the teacher saying you are such a good friend and always do the right thing. That is so YOU. You are a people pleaser, a rule follower, a true "first born." I am sure you will rebel at some time, but I doubt it will be at school. One reprimand from the teacher and you'll be devastated. It's hard to predict your overall intelligence, but I am certain you'll be a very hard worker with an A+ for effort and grades that reflect your love of learning.
Brielle, I see you as more of my class clown! I do think you will do well in school (because we won't allow anything less!) but you are the child always inserting the words "poop" and "toot" into the songs you sing, just to get a laugh. You also are much more likely to test your limits and push boundaries. You like to tell me "no" even when I know that you are dying to say "yes"....you just don't want to give in! I am guessing that challenging nature will extend to your school and teachers at least a few times!
Friends
Raya, I predict that you will have a small circle of friends, but they'll be *good* friends. You tend to attach yourself to a few favorite people and then are very loyal.
Brielle, you are a little young to tell right now, but so far you are a big of a recluse haha. I have a feeling though that you'll be a social butterfly when you are older.
Extracurriculars
Since your Mama doesn't really like the real sporty sports, I'm sure this will influence you. I am not going out of my way to encourage things like softball, volleyball, basketball, track (ugh), etc. lol. However I will certainly support you in whatever you choose!
Overall though your Daddy and I both predict that Brielle will enjoy team sports, and the more "rough and tumble" sports. She's tough...she's like a little roller derby type kid :-P I think Raya will gravitate towards things like dance, cheerleading, golf....she's not super competitive and is easily injured ;-)
I hope you *both* do things like drama, music, speech, band. I think Brielle will be our little choir star!
Future Job
If I had to guess I would say that you, Raya, will end up doing something in a "helping" field....like a teacher or nurse. Brielle, I really have no idea! You might be my child who ends up doing something a little more unconventional.
Kids
As the first born you are very "mothering" Raya, so I think you will have more children than Brielle. Not that I don't think you will both be *awesome* parents, but I think Brielle might have 2ish kids like while Raya enjoys a house full of munchkins.
Height
For fun, I think Raya will be around 5'9 like me, b/c she's on a pretty similar growth curve. I think Brielle will continue to be more of a shorty, maybe 5'4.
While I think I am a pretty good guesser, at the same time I fully expect you both to keep me on my toes, and guessing about who you will become. And that's the fun part of watching you grow up! You are both such fun, wonderful little girls that I have no doubt you will grow up to be successful young women, no matter what you choose to do. Love you!

Trendy Tot Tuesday
Linking up for another Trendy Tot Tuesday this week with Kelly, Lindsay, and Megan!
Yesterday Brielle was wearing the Matilda Jane Sally Lap dress, which I bought second hand. I am obsessed with it on Brielle---I think it's just the sweetest thing! And I thought it'd be perfect for a few fall photos so while Raya was at preschool we ran to the backyard for a couple quick shots. Here are some of my favs!

And for an added bonus, a little "sporty spice" hehe. My girls don't dress sporty very often, but Raya had her first ever soccer practice yesterday (she loved it, especially the snack they gave her! lol) ....I thought she looked pretty darn cute rocking her outfit and matching soccer ball. Gotta look the part! ;-)

Raya has 5 games this season, the first one being this Thursday. Can't wait---should be entertaining to watch! lol
Oh, and as a P.S.....I kinda stopped decorating our playroom after getting the initial set up done last Christmas, but lately I've had renewed motivation to finish it haha. So the other day I got valances for the windows and I also decided I wanted bunting wall art for the big empty wall in there. Yesterday I got my custom banner from Etsy and it's adorable! She posted a picture of my banner on her fb page so here it is---you should check her shop out! I am sure I could have made my own banner, but I loved how finished this one was....it's actually sewn and double sided--not just cut raw edges. And the time I'd spend getting all the fabric and sewing it would be better spent sewing my own Etsy orders....so that's my justification ;-) ....anyways, it looks awesome in our woodland themed playroom---I'll post pics of our room when it's all finished!
I asked her to have them say "let's pretend" since it was for a playroom---love them. Our rug has all these colors too! The fabric has little red riding hood, toadstools, trees, foxes, etc.

Cousin Slumber Party
Happy Monday!
We survived this weekend's cousin slumber party haha. They were really good Saturday night and actually went to bed nicely and on time for the most part. This was the first time that I let them *all* sleep on the floor together, even the babies. Harper and Brielle had their little heads right next to eachother and I thought surely they'd mess around and not go to bed, but all was quiet within a few minutes....they were tired!
Sunday they stayed until 11am and I could tell they were all tired (they got up at 6am, no idea why!). About 8am I made them all lay down for quiet time and once they did that for about an hour they were all much happier.
Here are some pics of our fun :-)

| We can't fit all four of them in the tub anymore, so this time we bathed in shifts---big kids, then little girls :-) |
![]() |
| We made pinkalicious bath water for the babies! The big kids chose yellow. |
![]() |
| All clean! |
![]() |
| Donuts, movies, popcorn, and candy necklaces! They had already eaten the fudge pops :-P |

| All up, dressed, fed, and teeth brushed before 8am lol And one bonus of Brielle in a fall Gap set...loving this cool weather! ![]() |

Matchy Matchy
I know my time is limited----enjoying the matching sister outfits as long as I can! :-)

Tonight we invited Sawyer and Harper over for a slumber party. I let Raya shop for supplies at Walmart this morning---she bought 2 movies, popcorn, candy necklaces, fudge pops, cookies, and donuts. They are bouncing off the walls right now and haven't even started to eat anything! lol. Should be an interesting night ;-)
