The other day I was trying to remember what Raya was saying/doing at Brielle's age and I realized that I am HORRIBLE about making movies of the girls. I take a million pictures daily, but just never think to take movies. The few I do have of Raya as a baby I just love to look back on, so I know I need to be better about making them from time to time!
So here is Brielle today---vlogging :-P (I think that's the term for video blogging isn't it?) Lots of random stuff, but she sings the ABCs in the middle of the movie and does some pretty impressive "dancing" at the end haha. Check it out!
(And no, she didn't hurt herself. Harper and Sawyer both got stitches on their cheeks in the last couple weeks from separate falls---go figure---and Brielle today brought me out a bandaid and insisted that she wear one just like Harper and Sawyer haha. Whatever kid! :-)

Feeling Springy!
We are getting a big winter snowstorm right now. Probably will be snowed in tomorrow.
Luckily today my order from my fav store Naartjie arrived---I treated the girls (ahem, myself) to a couple new spring dresses...which means tonight we had to do a quick fashion show right!
(Sorry people, no "real" blogging today...I'm dying from the world's worst cold, courtesy of my snot nosed kids lol...so this is all I'm managing tonight!)
I LOVE this dress on Brielle. I'm mad at myself for Raya's because I should have ordered one size bigger, and it's expensive to do returns for Naartjie...so I'll just make do and eventually Brielle will wear it I guess if Raya outgrows it right away. I'm also not sure this dress style fits Raya's age/personality as well as Brielle's, but oh well. Raya loves to match sissy!
And then for these I did different dresses, same color scheme. I ordered up a size on Raya's dress thinking it ran small, and it's too long---hopefully she'll grow into it by summer. Once again, love Brielle's!
And the fashion show is officially OVER haha

Punk Rock Peanut
What's a girl Mama to do when she has new Etsy designs for boys, but no little boy to model them?
She calls upon her little punk rock Peanut of course! Miss Brielle pulled off this new chevron tie without a problem! :-)
I also used the new chevron fabrics to make mustache birthday shirts---my biggest seller! Love the chevron. If I had a little boy he'd definitely be rockin' some chevron :-)
If you are interested in scoring some chevron for your own little dude then check out my Etsy shop No Paparazzi Please :-)
And now I'll leave you with some final photos of Miss Brielle in her punk rock look. She'll be back to pinks and ruffles tomorrow hehe.

Inspire Me...or not
This is what our playroom looked like by noon yesterday.
Granted, my niece and nephew were here since it was a Tuesday, but let's be honest. My girls can easily do this sort of destruction themselves too.
So why am I talking about this today? Well, if you read many blogs regularly, you understand what I mean about the "inspirational" blogs. The ones that you love to read because they are so beautifully written and things seem so wonderful in their world... and even a picture of crusty dishes in the sink will be so perfectly composed that you almost want to frame it. They *try* to knock themselves down occasionally, pointing out some weaknesses on their part...but in general I walk away feeling half inspired by them and half "I want to punch you in the face." Not that I really would. ;-)
The problem is that yes, if I really really wanted to I could probably run this house like a Stepford wife. I could have my to-do lists, my schedules, get everything done around the house every single day...add two of three more kids because my well oiled machine of a house could adapt.
But here is where I get real for a minute. Where I give you a dose of anti-inspiration lol. Am I the only one that sometimes just doesn't *want* to?! I mean, days like yesterday when every time I turned my back to do a load of laundry the kids end up dumping yet another bag of toys on the floor, or when I tried to do a load of dishes and suddenly one of my children is half naked on the bathroom counter randomly brushing their teeth with a puddle of water on the floor. At those times I sometimes just want to sit on the couch and watch TV, let the house and children implode around me, and deal with the mess and clean up later....screw all the schedules, Pinterest activities, beautiful pictures, and inspirational bull crap :-P
So today, as I get ready to take the girls shopping for Etsy supplies and groceries while we are all sick with colds I will try again---try to bring back some rainbows and unicorns to our life and make it through the day with a smile on my face, a to-do list in my pocket, and a schedule---because I'm a mom and moms are awesome!
But for those other days when everything seems to be going wrong and you just don't give a shit any more, please remember that it's OK to grab a snack, sit down with some trash TV, ignore your kids for awhile while they run around like wild animals, and thank your lucky stars you don't have any *more* children than the crazies you already have....because we are moms and we are awesome (but still get tired and anti-inpirational from time to time ;-)

Trendy Tot Tuesday--Sister Style
So as I mentioned yesterday, today I am linking up for a little blog hop party featuring tot fashion! I'm not very experienced in link up parties to be quite honest, but this one sounded right up my alley so I'm giving it a try. Hopefully I can "meet" a lot of fellow bloggers who love kid fashion as much as I do! :-) (Go link up yourself at Table for Three )
I wasn't really sure what I should blog about for today's link up, and then I decided that since I theoretically will have new readers stopping by today I should probably give a little introduction to my favorite kid's clothing brands, so that you all know what kind of cuteness you can expect to see here if you stick around. (By the way, have you started following my blog yet? You really should! :-)
In general I love kid's clothing way too much to stick to one or two brands. I keep an open mind and am likely to find a cute outfit at Walmart just as easily sometimes as a really pricey brand like Matilda Jane. That said, I do have my favorites, so take a look!
Oh, and in case you haven't met these cuties yet, here are Miss Raya Marie, age 3.5 years, and Miss Brielle, age 2 years (although these pics were taken a few months ago)
(I'm just using old pictures today, so here are a few Naartjie outfits we've had---the upper left corner has the ones we wore for Thanksgiving this year and they were to die for!)
Perhaps my favorite Naartjie outfit though is this throwback to the 80s number...the leggings have attached legwarmers! hehe. (oh, and my girls don't like sharing the spotlight when they model, as you can see)
One of my other favorite brands is from the UK---called NEXT . I've only ordered once, but LOVE the two outfits I got. And again, it's not going to be seen on many other kids since it's from the UK :-P
Here were the girls in their NEXT mouse outfits when we first got them---a little big, but they've since grown into them :-)
My next favorite brand is probably Gap, but I tend to buy older lines used on ebay or other online forums since we don't have an actual store nearby. I loved the Gap outfits they wore to the pumpkin patch this year!
After Gap is probably Gymboree. I do like the "matchy matchy" aspect of Gymboree haha. The downside is that it's more popular and not as unique. However we still get lots of people stopping us on the street when Brielle heads out in her giraffe boots! :-)
We love Gymboree swimsuits too :-)
And of course matching Gymboree holiday pjs---they make for great photo ops!
Of course we like Gymboree's sister company, Crazy 8, as well! These shoes weren't crazy 8 but we must point out the need for cute shoes :-)
And I do also love Target---just wish they wouldn't charge as much as Gymboree when I have very hit and miss luck with Target quality :-/
Mini Boden is one of the newer brands I've experimented with during good sales---very cute stuff! And Tea Collection has the comfiest dresses...
And everyone loves a little Children's Place now and then, right?!
And for every brand I haven't mentioned, don't worry, I still buy you as well if you are cute enough! The middle outfit below was one of my favorites, and it was a Walmart shirt, Babies R Us vest, Target jeans, and Target boots---random but adorable :-)
And lastly, I love me a good custom creation too! In case you are new, you should know that I have an Etsy shop with lots of adorable stuff for sale---check me out here at No Paparazzi Please ! I made the "cute chick" Easter shirts for the girls last year, and they are for sale in my shop now, along with a "chick magnet" shirt for boys---too cute! The "you are my sunshine" outfit was a great seller for me as well, and most recently I made Brielle's birthday tutu! (The crown and shirt though were from other Etsy sellers---I love to support little home businesses!)
So there you have it, a rundown of my favorite brands and an introduction to my two gorgeous girls in case you are new here. Please follow my blog and stay awhile! (And seriously, I have outdone myself on stockpiling items for the upcoming spring/summer season---just you wait, you will not believe the adorable fashion shows that are in store for you in the coming months!!!! hehe :-)
And if you didn't play along this week, you should next week!

Probably my favorite brand right now is Naartjie .....never heard of them? Well seriously, go check them out! Very few stores in the U.S., but you can order online. And frankly the lack of local stores makes me love them even more because you pretty much never see another kid wearing the same outfit. Naartjie is always a show stopper out in public because it's so unique! They tend to do lots of ruffles, layers, bell bottom type pants, etc. And the great thing is that they offer every outfit in about 3-6 color schemes, making it super easy to coordinate the girls in the same outfit, different color :-)(I'm just using old pictures today, so here are a few Naartjie outfits we've had---the upper left corner has the ones we wore for Thanksgiving this year and they were to die for!)

The fashion Gods have spoken
So yesterday my blogger friend Amy told me that she knew I didn't usually do "link ups" in the blog world, but she had discovered one that was right up my alley and I should check it out. Apparently a blogger over at Table for Three is starting a new weekly link up calle "Trendy Tot Tuesday," where on Tuesday you blog something about kid fashion (any age, boy or girl, anything you want) and then link it up with other blogs so you can all bask in the glow of adorable kid fashions around the country :-)
Um, yes please! That certainly does sound right up my alley, considering I pretty much say *something* about kids fashion daily over here! lol. The fashion Gods have spoken ....they want more from Miss Raya and Brielle!
So stayed tuned, because starting tomorrow we plan to participate in this fun link up party!
....and today the girls freshened up their modeling, ya know, in preparation ;-)
So if you want to participate in Trendy Tot Tuesdays just follow the link above to check out "Table for Three" and read more about it :-)
In other news, yesterday there was a KILLER PANDA on the loose, in case you didn't hear it on the news!
They advised that everyone should stay in their homes, for safety purposes of course, but unfortunately the panda found it's way *into* our house---we were terrified!!
Good thing the killer panda turned out to be an adorable piggy tailed little girl :-)
And Miss Raya was also in a hoodie mood yesterday---unfortunatey her cuteness was paired with a snot nose, as we seem to have some sort of nasty cold that has also found it's way into our house!
But killer pandas and killer viruses didn't keep Daddy and the girls from playing a "killer" round of the elephant game!
Happy Monday everyone!

Raya's first "kill"
Lee is quite proud of Raya's natural bow hunting abilities. She got her bow on Thursday night and on Friday while he was at work she picked it up multiple times to shoot it and practice. By the time he got home Friday night she was able to show him her skills! Look at that form---what a pro :-)
And then today Lee set up some Target practice ---Brielle even joined in!
The poor unsuspecting targets :-P
And here Raya is with her first kill! (at first when Lee wanted her to pose with it she *hugged* it haha...Lee had to explain that we don't hug dead deer---we dangle them ;-)
Guess I will soon have to start shopping for some adorable hunting outfits---if Daddy is going to steal Miss Raya as his hunting partner I need to at least make sure she's not pulled to the dark side with all kinds of camo clothing!!!! :-P
And here is a video of her in action tonight
