First off, I found the easiest legwarmer tutorial EVER! Ever. You just cut the foot of the sock and then zig zag stitch the edge. It creates a "ruffle" effect and did I mention it's sooooo easy?!
These were my test legwarmers I tried out last night, just to make sure they were as easy as the tutorial promised. They were.
I think Brielle might wear them with her white and silver angel costume tomorrow night :-)
In other news, this weekend Brielle had her first overnight away from me...so sad! But she did fine with my parents and Saturday I was able to get the order done for the boutique at the mall. This time she also ordered some boy stuff, which was fun. She wanted some camo tie onesies which I hadn't made before, and they turned out cute!
Did I mention that my etsy shop No Paparazzi Please is officially reopened?! Well it is! And for a limited time you can use the coupon code "welcomeback" to get free shipping on your entire order. And don't worry, I will announce a winner for my Etsy shop giveaway tomorrow! There is still time for some of you to enter though--any new blog followers I get before midnight tonight will be entered to win!
Hmmm, what else? Well Saturday night Lee and I did go out for our anniversary. We went to our new favorite restaraunt, which we've eaten at like 3 or 4 times already since moving here haha....it's a Chinese buffet type of thing, but it has soooo much food! They have a spot that's kind of like Hu Hot, and you get to pick an entire steak (we always pick a ribeye) and they cook it up the way you like and chop it up with the other things you pick and sauces. Not as many options as hu hot, but we're talking an entire ribeye people! Then they have a big sushi section (which I never touch--ewww) and tons of lobster, crab, shrimp, and other disgusting seafood :-P....but the things I like are all the stir fry and crab ragoons and fruit bar, salad bar, and dessert bar, etc. All you can eat for like $13. Yeah, I gained about 10 lbs probably, but we were celebrating hehe. Then I got a new winter coat (yippee) before heading to a movie. We saw "Moneyball" with Brad Pitt and it was excellent. I would highly recommend it. (By the way, Cardinals won the World Series...yippee! I can wear all the Cardinals gear Lee has bought me now with pride LOL)
So then today Lee and I completed some projects around the house and I prepared for my super fun Halloween bash, which is tomorrow. We've got about 8ish little kids who will be here, so they should have fun I hope!
Got my girls back tonight and they were as cute as ever. Raya was thrilled to see the Minnie Mouse outfit I bought her yesterday (because the poor thing had zero Minnie/Mickey outfits for winter and she kept begging to wear her pjs during the day, which is just weird :-P)....so I got her a little Minnie outfit and tonight she was so excited she insisted on wearing the outfit to bed--silly girl!
See, I told you this update was going to be completely random! Let's end with a little "What if" survey that I've seen on a couple blogs I read lately.
Fill in the blanks....
If I were to get pregnant again...I'd be a very tired Mama! We do plan to have one more baby, and we want them close together again....but let's get Brielle to her 1st birthday first shall we? :-P
If I could have any job in the world...I'd love to get paid to be a stay at home mom! haha...wouldn't we all? :-) In all honesty though I think I'd love some sort of job where I was paid to plan preschool or something. Is there a job like that? I love kids, and I love arts and crafts and tot school stuff---it'd be fun to plan out weekly lessons and get all the materials and supplies lined up, find children's books to go with units, etc.....but I do NOT want to actually teach haha. Better stick with Tot School I think!
If I had a day to myself...I'd go shopping! More specifically go into all the little "side stores" I avoide with children. Am I the only mom who likes to stick to the mall? I mean, once I get the kids out of the car and loaded into the stroller I have no desire to load them in and out of the car some more to drive to various stores that *aren't* in the mall. So I'd just hop in and out of my car all day long if I was kidless !
If I could get married all over again...I don't think I'd change anything! Well, I would make sure the caterers didn't run out of mashed potatoes lol...but other than that I loved everything about our wedding.
If I could live anywhere in the US...I'm not sure I'd want to *live* anywhere else, but I've always wanted to vacation on the east coast--up by Maine and such.
If my girl would have been a boy they would have been named...Well, if it was up to me I would have named a boy Camden. I've loved that name ever since high school and I still love it. Lee hates it for a boy though. He wanted Austin, which is too common for my taste. So when I was pregnant with Raya we had agreed on the boy name Weston, which I still like. When I was pregnant with Brielle Lee fell in love with the boy name Callen, and so I had agreed to that. If our 3rd is miraculously (for Lee) a boy I think right now it'd probably be Callen. If our third is a girl I wonder if Lee would go for Kamdyn? I'd still get my name and just switch it to a girl name since it's pretty unisex. He'd probably still hate it!
If I could have any talent in the world....I'd love to have a photographic memory!
If you met me in real life...you'd probably feel like you already knew me--since I blog pretty much our whole life on here :-P
If I could go back to school and get a different degree...I have no idea what I'd want to do.
If money was no object...I'd probably never go back to working outside of the home.
If I could meet one celebrity, it would be....I am not the type of person to really oogle over celebrities or anything. I'm not sure there is anyone I'd really be dying to meet.
If I could shop at only one store the rest of my life...Target. What more do you need really?
If we were to get another pet it would be...a pet rock. Mama doesn't need any more non-humans to care for until the kids are all much much older!!
If I could go on a trip right now...It would be to Starbucks. Doesn't one of their pumpkiny lattes sound delicious right about now?!
If I had to choose between a house cleaner and a personal chef...Personal Chef. You can survive a few days without cleaning---but you eat every day. More bang for your buck with a chef :-)
If I had the option of plastic surgery...the only thing I can think I might want done is some sort of scar removal. The scar on my neck (from when I had cancer in my salivary gland) and the scar on my arm (from when I had the reconstructive surgery on my elbow) are mildly noticeable still. Doesn't bother me much, but if someone was willing to fix them I'd allow it :-P
